Frustrated Lebanese people, Creatively De-stressing!
So i was driving in Beirut today, trying to get to work, nothing special, same as everybody else, when i am confronted with a red light. Now first thought that came to my head was “just wing it” but then i somehow found myself stopping, respecting the signal. I was very proud of myself too, if everybody respected the laws, there would be less accidents, no?

Sometimes, i get lost in my own thoughts. I just get this glazed look in my eyes, as i wander off into the vast streets and alleyways of my own mind. Most people don’t get what that means, even though they’ve heard it many times, if not used it themselves: “getting lost in thought”. People are much like computer programs, except that they write their own code. They spend much of their youth refining this code, until at some point they hit the “compile” command, and that’s it. Mission accomplished.

The concept of time is becoming ever more elusive to me. As an 11 year old, the 5 minutes I used to take enjoying my glass of milk on the balcony, while I watched cars pass me by now seem to escape me in a mere second. The magical days I used to spend in sleep overs at friends houses, now pass me by in the blink of an eye. In this age of wonders, and revolution where everybody is connected to everything, all the time, I cannot help but feel distant. Outdated, and out of touch, like an old relic from the past.
I was in Jordan last week, on a business trip. And something happened over there that shook me profoundly. That awoke me; so to speak.

Spider Senses

I once read that if u ate 10 spiders everyday, for 10 days, u develop some spider-like sense, aka u will start to become Spiderman. That of course is a scientific impossibility, and consequently most definitely not true, right?
