Articles in this category follow the format of a conversation, between myself and another party. If you would like to know more about the origins, please click here. I start the conversation in blue.
Hello my friend, it has been a while since we had one of our usual chats. But life has been hectic, i miss our one on one conversations.
The feeling is mutual. But We are both here now, what have been keeping u busy?
Well life, i guess. I dunno, too many things happening.
Life does not get in the way, it is usually people who get in the way.
People? As in friends and family? Colleagues?
No, people as in you. Believe it or not i have known you for quite some time now, and i can tell u that the person who gets in your way the most, is you.
How do u mean?
You are always worried about something, or someone. You spend far too much time and energy contemplating situations, that might or might not come to be.
You worry too much…
I know what you mean, it is just that life has a funny way of stopping you dead in your tracks when you least expect it, of throwing surprises at you when you are not at all prepared.
Sometimes, things not going according to plan is a blessing in disguise. In being forced to think in alternative routes, we expand our horizons, and come to discover new worlds, that would otherwise go unnoticed.
This physical life you live, is meant to be a journey, as people you are given the gift of endless possibilities, the ability to explore different paths and travel to different planes; both physically and spiritually.
You get frustrated because you misinterpret life. You fail to see the value of uncertainty, of change. You assume any change not inline with your self acclaimed path is by substitution a hurdle to be overcome, and as such you suffer at any sudden fork in the road.
So what you are saying is that uncertainty is good? Not having stability or a clear path is a positive thing?
Not at all. Having a clear view of the right path is a magnificent thing, albeit rarely do people have this gift pf clarity. Most people choose a path out of lack of direction, or they have a path forced upon them by their elders. Some simply succumb to peer pressure and spend their lives struggling to get to where they are not supposed to be, they end up living a lie without even knowing it.
So how do you know what your true path is?
You might find this hard to believe, but every single human being has the potential for greatness. what you may lack in calculative analysis you make up for in perseverance. what “s” might lack in terms of creativity she makes up for in focus and concentration. People are all created different, yet equal in the same time.
It is through these innate qualities you posses that you can come to discover your written path, by listening on to the universe as it tries to speak to you, and push you in the tight direction. By utilizing that which comes naturally to you, and which you enjoy greatly.
But this-
So the next time you have a plan, and it starts to fall apart do not fret, and do not panic. Simply relax and allow the universe to take u wherever it pleases. Be true to yourself, do not do or go where you feel conflicted within your guts. Your soul knows right from wrong, but do not avoid all and anything that you are unfamiliar with, and by substitution out of your comfort zone.
So you are saying the sudden hurdles, or obstacles if followed through might actually reveal another path?
I am saying very few people have a clear view of their destiny. Until you can close your eyes and paint a very vivid picture of all that is you are meant to be without a shred of doubt, stop treating life as a one way trip, and start living it as a journey. Take mental photos, connect with the people and the surroundings. Enjoy every minute.
Who knows? You might be pleasantly surprised by what u will run into along the way…
I will leave you with a quote my father used to say to me as a kid, loosely translated:
“We all do what we must, it is our perception of what must be done that is distorted”, J.
Thanks ACharif for visiting and following “deepakdheer”. I like what you say about journey, but what i like most is your sharp vision, as you say, “People are all created different, yet equal in the same time.”
