Freedom, is one of the biggest gifts that have been bestowed upon us as a human race. The ability to shape our future, and control our own destiny. We get to make choices, and steer our own fate, as we create our future. A concept many fail to see. Sometimes it is difficult, to be in control. Sometimes we look at what others have, rather what they don’t, or what we do. We make excuses, because essentially nobody likes to fail.
But failure, my beloved reader is a result, not a fact. It is a result of a very calculated and sometimes misrepresented series of facts and effects, leading to a point of view. Some like to call failure. I often reflect, and observe from an outside perspective. I analyze those same series of events, I strip them of emotional shackles, hold them naked of all pre-existing conditioned beliefs, and I do not see failure. I see the end of one battle, and the beginning of another. I see a victory, and most of the time not a small one. I see people conquering fears, facing their inner demons, breaking free of restraints that had been holding them hostage for years. I see brave men and women, dust off their tiredness, and move out of the comfort of their daily routine in hopes of making a change, in hope of growing into something they aspire. I see them battling gloriously through the fields of their minds, through treacherous paths riddled with the unknown, faced with the deceitful, and fought by enemies. And I see them winning.
Most of you; at one point or another, heard this: “Rome wasn’t built in a day”. What of Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles , Lance Armstrong,Albert Einstein, and Thomas Edison, to name but a few, of countless stories? Many faced with challenge, expected, if not sometimes encouraged, to fail.
How do you expect to build an empire, and for it to be any less difficult? And this is what trouble is, at the end of the day. People, creating their own empires. Reaching for their dreams (some of them in a very small way, at a subconscious level). Anybody, reaching for anything of value, is struggling to take what is rightfully his, or hers. Do you really expect it to be that easy? Do you want it to be?
What is light, if there wasn’t dark?
what is joy, if there weren’t suffering?
and what is success, if there was no failure? Take pride, in the small battles you win. You are on your way. Your day, will come.
Darkness, is nothing… but the absence of light…

I really fully agree to this and I love the way you put it into perspective. At the end, how will you learn to perfect your battles and also how can you appreciate the good if you don’t experience the bad. Well Done and very inspiring 🙂
Thank you Lama! 🙂
